Tasman Consulting Engineers was founded in 2002 and provides professional engineering services for civil engineering and structural projects. Our engineers have over 80 years of combined experience.
Our office is located in the central business area of Richmond, Nelson, off John Wesley Lane.
Our specialist focus for structural design is in residential engineering and low rise commercial and industrial buildings with a special interest in timber engineering. We also provide civil engineering services for subdivision development, stormwater and wastewater design.
Commercial and Industrial Buildings
Tasman Consulting Engineers provides structural design for low rise commercial buildings and industrial buildings. We are a member of the Nelson Timber Solutions Consortium which promotes the use of timber in buildings. Through this group we can provide structural designs in timber for large span portal frames and multi-storey buildings.
Residential Buildings
Tasman Consulting Engineers provide practical engineering solutions for residential buildings and we work closely with a number of building companies, architects and designers. We can provide design for all structural aspects of a house including foundations, basements, pole platforms, retaining walls, decks, beams, portal frames and bracing.
Civil Engineering
Tasman Consulting Engineers provides civil engineering services and design for roading, earthworks, certified filling and site certification along with designs for stormwater management and disposal and on-site wastewater systems.
Wastewater and Stormwater Systems
Tasman Consulting Engineers provide design and advice for on-site wastewater (New Zealand Standard 1547) and stormwater disposal systems including both domestic and larger scale systems. We are accredited designers for the Advanced Enviro Septic (AES) system, and familiar with most models of treatment systems in use across Nelson, Tasman & Marlborough.
